3 Talon-Approved Events: Dec. 1-8

  1. Policing the Crisis: The Neoliberal Containment State in Canada

Hosted by The Mainlander as a part of the BC Convergence on Policing, this event seeks to take a look at coercive tactics used by the Canadian neoliberal “Containment State” including police violence, colonial practices, exploitation, and a policy of mass incarceration in tandem with a strengthening prison-industrial complex.

“In this context,” write the organizers “it is urgent for communities to come together to share strategies for resistance at the local level, and to create unity for a powerful response”
